1. Using RouteTale

The Short Version

You must be a human doing legal things. Don't abuse the system.

  • —You must provide accurate information when registering.
  • —No illegal activities, scraping, or attempting to hack the service.
  • —We may suspend accounts that violate these rules without notice.

2. Your Content

The Short Version

You own your stories. We just host them.

  • —You retain 100% ownership of your GPX data, text, and media.
  • —You grant us permission to host and display this content to operate the service.
  • —Do not upload copyrighted material you do not own.

3. Pro Plans & Billing

The Short Version

Cancel anytime. No hidden fees.

  • —Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually upfront.
  • —You can cancel anytime. Access remains until the end of your billing cycle.
  • —No refunds for partial months, unless required by law.

4. Liability

The Short Version

We try our best, but RouteTale is provided "as is".

  • —We are not liable for any damages resulting from using the app.
  • —Maps and data are for storytelling, not critical navigation.
  • —Our maximum liability is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months.

5. Guest Projects

The Short Version

Projects you start before signing in are temporary — sign up to keep them.

  • —You can start a project without an account. It is stored temporarily and is not yet tied to you.
  • —Guest projects are automatically deleted after 48 hours if you don't create an account and claim them.
  • —Once you sign up and claim it, the project follows the same rules as any other project on your account.
